Long Weekend :-)

I love these long weekends although who does not. I did work yesterday morning for a few hours and then I came home and cleaned away. I worked so hard yesterday my body and back ached when I went to bed last night. I did not anticipate doing as much work as I did yesterday, which is the way it always starts.

I wanted to get the old dresser out of Kennedys room and put it in our closet and move her new dresser over too where her old one was. I finished that and thought well I should move some of her toys from the playroom/baby's room, so I started moving and moved as much as would fit, which surprisingly was an awful lot. By this time DH had gone to work although he had only helped with the moving of the dresser. I then decided I would put the baby's new dresser together. How hard coul dit be to put together a piece of furniture? Let me tell you I was fine until I got to almost the end and then I realized in the beginning I had put the railings on upside down and had to go back and redo it ughhhhhhhh.

Looks like another rainy day in store for us today. I am getting ready to hop in the shower, so we can go grocery shopping. After that I plan on getting the rest of the cleaning done I did not yesterday and I need to hang the valances in the baby's room. Well girls I hope you are enjoying your long weekend :-)

Antoher LIPS family meetup...

Sarah & Kelly, we better see some pics this week of your meetup. Can't wait to hear all about it. Kelly, hope you guys have a wonderful, relaxing vacation this week.
Nothing much going on here. Trying to relax this weekend. Didn't do much housework, only the necessities & laundry. Kylie went to a baby shower with mother-in-law so I took a little trip to the barn and hung out with the horses for a while. It felt nice to be outside, relaxing in peace & quiet. I haven't been to see the horses in a while and they were happy to see me. I'm not sure out of the 3 which is more jealous. They were nipping and laying their ears back at each other to get to me for attention. Sassy, our mare, put her head about 3 inches from my chest and closed her eyes, wanting me to rub her face and get the flies and gnats away. She stood there until one of the boys rudely interrupted with a nose in her ear. She's such a sweet girl. Loves to be rubbed and scratched, especially if you bring sugar cubes or apples with you. She has a bit of a sweet tooth, I guess.
I took a few snaps of them while I was down there. These two 'speak' to me for some reason. The first is of my FIL's horse Ironie. He's the nosy one that has to know everything you're doing.
The second is of the creek area where they drink. It just looked so peaceful and sounded relaxing with the water rippling over the rocks. Of course, Sassy had to get down in there with me and I thought for sure that me, my camera, and Miss Nosy Rosy were all going to end up in the water. Wouldn't that be a good one to explain how I ruined my camera and ended up soaked from head to toe? LOL!

Mother's Day 2007

LOL @ nesting already Courtney.

Nothing new going on here. Uggghh, I'm in SUCH a biyotchy mood today. I'm sore all over from all the yard work yesterday, tired as hell from trying to clean house & get the laundry done today (which still hasn't happened), and have cramps from hell. I'm sooo sick of working all week, then coming home for the weekend and busting my ass to get housework & laundry done while everyone else is outside doing what ever the f-ck they feel like it. No wonder my daughter won't have anything to do with me, I'm tired and cranky all the time and she doesn't want to be cooped up in the house with me all weekend. No wonder she's up her daddy's butt all the time, she'd rather be out having fun with everyone else. Hell, I know I would. When do we get some relaxation time? When we're dead? ;)
I did get my front flower bed mulched, replaced some shrubs, and added a couple new flowers to fill in here & there. Some Mother's Day gift, huh? I had to go buy it and do all the work myself. :( OH & btw, I have not had one single "Happy Mother's Day" wish from anyone. I can't really complain about Kylie since she's only 4 but my husband, mom, etc have no excuse. I called my mom this morning to wish her a happy mother's day and let Kylie do the same. I know I should be used to the inconsiderate arses but my AF hormones must have my panties in a twist because it actually kinda hurt my feelings. Arseholes!
Here's a pic of my flower bed. I still need to decide on a type of border but for the most part its finished. I'd love to have a layer or two of those flat river rock but they are too expensive, especially considering how long my flower bed is.
Nothing new on the job front. Still trucking along. One of the BBs will be out Tues-Thurs this week so that will be nice. The girl who is training me will be on vacation next week and I'm a bit nervous about that because we have deadlines for the City & County Planning Commissions so those two days will be nerve-wracking for sure.

Nesting Already

Well my nesting as a new mommy is setting in. I have sterilized my old bottles today and I am currently washing Kay's old baby clothes. I feel as if I have endless energy today, which I am sure will not last long. I am just waiting on the new bedding to arrive then I can get the room ready and the basic stuff should be done. Oh and most importantly I need to get my crib back from my SIL who has been using it for her granddaughter.

Yes it is another GIRL and I am getting used to the idea of having 2 littles girls running around. I am telling you it is the LIPS curse. Kay of course is so excited to have a little sister. She has asked numerous times if the baby can sleep in her room. I keep telling her we will see what you think once the little screamer arrives lqtm.

Jenna I am so happy you job is going well. This has turned out to be a happy change for you. We seem to have a lot of good changes around here lately with our girls.

Well it is in the upper 80's and sunny out, I tried to talk my little munchkin into playing in the sprinkler today, but she said water makes her itchy. We will see if she still thinks that next week when the pool opens lqtm. I guess we will just go out and play on the swingset and she can ride her bike.

Well you can count me the hell out, LOL. Unless we win the lottery sometime soon, I just don't see it happening for us again. Then again, I never saw the first two coming, did I? LOL!

CONGRATS on surviving the 1st week! Sounds like they really like you, and it doesn't hurt to be in a more relaxed, friendly atmosphere. But you don't have to rub it in that you get to wear casual clothes every day. Kidding! I'm happy for you, girl. :)

CONGRATS on a baby GIRL, Courtney!! It really will work out for the best in the long run. Of course you're going to be a little disappointed, those of us with 2 of the same sex all were, at one point, but one day you are going to walk in on them painting each other's toenails & it will all make sense. :)

Kelly, so true about them remembering things now! We struggle & strain to provide for them as babies, but it's starting now that they'll actually remember things to throw back in our faces later, Lol. Good luck to all of us being angels in their presence, LOL! Right.

Well I am excited as hell about the weather (gorgeous), & about getting to spend some of this lovely spring with Kelly & Co., who are visiting next Saturday!! That's right, ladies and...ladies, I will meet in real life one of you Psychos for the 1st time ever here soon. Then, of course, I'll be forced to believe you guys actually exist & are not hairy old men posing as mothers. Watch Kelly cancel on me, LOL.

Week One: Down!

I survived the first week at the new job. Yay! I'm loving the atmosphere at the new office. Everyone is like a big family. One of the owners asked me Friday if I thought I'd made the right decision. I basically told him the same thing. It's not about money & titles, sometimes the morale & atmosphere make all the difference. I told him how much everyone seems like a big family. He said "That's the way it ought to be. We're at work more than we're at home." My husband worked for his father when we were in high school and his father married us so he stops by my cube area just to chat. I don't really know how to act because at the bank, we had to tip toe around Big Boss's moods. lol!

Nothing much going on around here this weekend. It was rainy yesterday so my mom, Kyliebug, and I went to the mall. I needed a couple of new shirts for work. I have no casual clothes so I've been having to make do with a few shirts. Luckily Penney's was having a 40-60% off sale. So I got 2 shirts and new pair of denim capris. They have a new play area at the end of the mall and Kylie loved it, she played in there for almost an hour. She didn't want to leave, even to go to the toy store. LOL!
Today I think I may try to get myself and Kylie in for a haircut. Nothing major for either of us. I just need my layers shaped up and she needs her ends trimmed.

Congrats on the new GIRL in your life Courtney! I know you wanted a boy but like the others have said, the having two of the same sex would make it easier on you. Plus, I wanted you to have another girl so Kay & Ky wouldn't be the only ones in our group. Now we have 7 boys and 3 girls in our group. Who's going to try for the next girl? Mu-hahahahahaha!!!

The BIG day!

Courtney, we are all waiting to find out the sex of this little babe! Only a few hours to go! I bet you are nervous as all get out. Don't worry though...we will be there whether to say woo hoo or awe shucks. As long as it is healthy. You'll be fine!

Spring, where fore art thou?

It has been 86-89 degrees the past couple of days. I told you we skip across spring right on into summer. lol!

Woot woot for finding out the sex Courtney. I can't wait to hear the news! I'm pulling for another girl. We need more estrogen in our group. :P

New job is going good. Lots to learn but I'm staying busy and they keep telling me I'm learning fast. I even did two projects on my own today only asking a couple of minimal questions to double check myself when I was done. They are all pretty nutty so I think I'll fit right in. LMAO!

Talk to you chickadess later! :)
