it's beginning to look a lot like SPRING
By the darkening sky and rumbles of thunder, I believe Spring is calling! The daffodils are blooming and the birds are chirping so what does that mean for us? SPRING CLEANING! Oh joyous occasion! So what's on your list? Mine includes:
~decluttering my pantry
~taking all the blinds down and give them a good cleaning
~the carpet needs to be cleaned also
But then again spring brings chores that I don't mind too. Like mulching and planting flowers, basically, any type of yard work. I just want to be outside!
And I think I may have an answer to dreading the weekends and to help me have some free time to do things that I enjoy. I have someone who is going to give me an estimate on cleaning my house. It’s my supervisor’s mother. Our families have known each other for ages so it’s definitely someone I trust. She is retired and wants to find a couple of houses to clean per week to bring in a little extra money so it’s perfect for both of us.
Why am I doing that, you ask? Are we rich and have money to burn? H-ll no, we live paycheck to paycheck like most people but I’m sick and tired of working 40+ hours per week, then coming home and spending my weekends busting my rear to get the house clean while everyone else is off doing their own thing. Spring is coming and I want to be able to get out and enjoy myself with my DD, work in the yard, etc. I’m an outdoorsy girl, I can’t stand being cooped up inside! DH will be returning to farm work in addition to his FT job from spring-fall. During that time, he is gone most days until 10pm and every weekend is spent in the hayfield working. So I’m stuck at home with a 4yr old? I think NOT. I’ll be able to do things with my daughter and not fussing at her to let me hurry and clean and won't have to tell her "we'll go outside afterwhile, mommy has alot of work to do". Plus it’ll help on the weekends that I have photo sessions scheduled.
I figure since I’m one of the founding members of the Married Single Parent Club, I deserve it right? LoL!
