Only in an HMO
You won’t believe this. I received a letter from my GYN today. He works at one of those Mega-offices with about 20 doctors of different specialties. The office is affiliated with a local hospital in the area.
The hospital has decided in its infinite wisdom that the Mega-office is too costly and is closing the doors. My Doctor is moving down the street to a new building and will still be associated with the hospital.
However, the hospital has decided that it will keep all the medical records. This means I have to call my doctor to complete a “Release of Information” so that he can get a copy of HIS OWN records from the office he is currently working in and from the hospital he is ALREADY a part of and will remain a part of!
INSANITY!
